St. Barnabas House
With regards to the Coronavirus pandemic –
Here is a link to the detailed guidance for the national lockdown.
At St Barnabas House we are lucky enough to have some large rooms. We recognise that this has been an extraordinary and difficult time for many people and have been able to hold face to face sessions of counselling with continued measures in place to keep everyone safe. We were able to stay open throughout the second lockdown and will aim to stay open offering support during the third national closure. Our measures are as follows;
*Unless exempt, please wear a face covering as you enter the building and continue to wear it until you are taken in to your session.
*Everyone is required to wash their hands on entering the building.
*Appointment times are staggered to avoid too many people in the building or reception at one time.
*Please arrive on time for an appointment, not early, to limit the amount of time you are in the building.
*No drinks will be offered so please bring a drink if you feel you will need one.
*The chairs are clearly marked out 2 metres apart.
*There are hand sanitizers, tissues and wipes in every room.
*You are requested to stay at home and call 111 or 119 to get a test as soon as possible, if you feel unwell or have a family member who is unwell.
*The building is regularly cleaned throughout each day using a solution of either bleach or Zoflora.
*As the business owner I have recently taken an infection control course to stay up to date in this area.
We don’t have all of our counsellors back working at this time, but we are taking enquiries. It can take a little longer than usual because we are limited to the times we can offer and the number of rooms we can use. We will continue to put your safety and that of our staff and counsellors at the forefront during this time.
If you are trying to access therapy but feel too unsafe to be visiting then we can discuss placing you with a counsellor working online with a view to meeting in person when the virus is more under control.
This time will pass. Stay safe and well, mentally as well as physically.
Opening Times: Monday -Friday 9.00am – 8.00pm (last appointment 7.00pm)
Saturday 9.00am – 1.00pm (last appointment 12.00 noon)

In 2017 we took over the ground floor of the premises at St Barnabas House. We needed to do some serious renovation and take two walls down to make the building into one again, after years of being separated. This has given us the opportunity to develop and grow as a business. We can now offer 2 rooms for meeting, presentations, workshops and group work. With kitchen and bathroom facilities adjoining both rooms it is an excellent space for large groups (20 people).
For prices for either or both of the rooms or to request more details please call 01634 851558
Here is a short film of the renovations.
